A gent named Jon who regularly reads my blog was kind enough to hook me up with a pair of vintage Bass Weejuns he acquired. While I’ll leave the specifics of the note he included to myself, in essence, he requested, in lieu of a payment, to truly cherish my final semester, as he would “give up every pair of shoes I own to pass go and give it one more shot.” Live life. Enjoy it. Have fun, fuck up, grow up. Carpe diem. Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it. Cheers, Jon—this is a present I won’t soon forget.
